Tonight, for the second night in a row, the Dukes of Drag are taking over Montréal’s most fabulous cabaret venue, Sala Rossa, for their full length variety show PANTYMONIUM. The show is quite appropriately named since the audience at last night’s “fan night” were a frenzy of panty-flinging folks, whopping madly as the dukes shimmied and shook their padded crotches all over the stage. The numbers ranged from boy-band parodies to heart-tugging solos, each peppered with a touch of sexy, a tad of macho and a whole lot of funny.
The show also features the very special (and triple-XL pompadour sporting) host Guizo La Nuit (Alexis O’Hara) who keeps the crowd’s energy high between acts with his billingual charm and musical prowess on the ukulele. Without giving away too much of the thrill, the highlight of the show is an incredible glam rock themed number that features the most incredible unicorn drag you’ll ever see.
Doors open at 8 and the show goes on at 9 sharp! Get there early to get a good seat near the front for best panty throwing conditions.
